Family-owned. Deroche, BC. Large inventory. 24/7.
I started Terrastone because I got tired of watching guys lose a full day over a $40 fitting. I'd been in the industry long enough to know the pattern: hose blows, you call around, nobody answers. The one shop that does says they'll order it. Two days later you're still sitting.
The idea was simple: stock the fittings people actually need. Answer the phone. Make the hose while they wait. Don't make it complicated.
That's still the whole plan. No franchise expansion. No online store. Just a shop with the right inventory and a phone that gets answered.
"I keep a large inventory of fittings on the shelf. Most of the time, I can make your hose while you wait."
Not a call centre. Not a dispatcher. Not someone who takes a message and maybe calls you back before end of day. Me. Tyson. If I can't get to the phone right away, I'll call you back.
That's how a family-owned shop works. There's no buffer between you and the person who makes your hose. You describe the problem, I know what you need, and I tell you straight: I've got it or I don't. No runaround.
Every call, every quote, every hose: Tyson. Not a junior tech. Not a parts counter kid. The guy who built the shop.
If we have your fitting, we'll tell you. If we don't, we'll tell you that too. No upselling a hose you don't need.
Mon–Fri, 8 to 5 at the shop (walk in anytime). Need a hose or parts outside those hours? Call ahead and Tyson will open up. (604) 302-9525
Fitting SKUs on the shelf, most standard sizes in stock
Typical turnaround for a standard hose once we have it in hand
Emergency availability. Call any time for urgent breakdowns.
Most hydraulic shops in the valley run lean on fittings. When your size isn't on the shelf, you wait for a courier. Could be tomorrow. Could be Thursday.
We stock heavy because the cost of carrying extra fittings is nothing compared to the cost of telling a guy with a dead excavator "come back in two days." 500+ SKUs. If it's a standard size, it's here. If it's not, we'll tell you straight — no runaround.

When your machine goes down after hours and the crew is back at 6 AM, the question isn't whether the hose can wait. It's whether your schedule can. We answer after hours because that's when breakdowns actually happen.
